Istanbul Development Agency (IDA) was established to “accelerate regional development, ensure its sustainability, and reduce inter-regional and intra-regional development disparities in line with the principles and policies set out in national development plans and programs by improving cooperation between the public sector, private sector and non-governmental organizations, ensuring the appropriate and effective use of resources and mobilizing local potential”. Istanbul Development Agency is assigned as “National Coordinator” of the Closing the Skills Gap Acceleration Program in order to maintain coordination among the relevant institutions and organizations, to carry out the program activities and to disseminate the program results in line with the missions of providing public, NGOs and private sector collaboration.

The Program for the Geleceğin Becerileri is carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Business Leaders Group.İstanbul Development Agency (IDA) undertakes the role of Project Coordinator in line with the missions of providing public, NGOs and private sector collaboration; implementing activities and action plans among stakeholders and generalizing the outcomes.
